The IPL (Indian Premier League) 2026 has developed into a serious fast-paced arena for bowlers, whose ability to find safe spots has become almost impossible. This season has been defined by an outstanding ability of teams to score more than 200 runs in a game while also demonstrating how simple it can be for teams to chase and complete those enormous runs.
While the T20 format naturally favors the bat, reaching 100 runs is an achievement. In a game of 120 balls, scoring 100 runs is more than just a personal milestone; it shows that the batter can score consistently, rotate the strike, and handle pressure in the last few overs.
Many players have scored fifty runs this season, but only a few have turned those starts into hundreds. It reminds that centuries are really special. The players who have reached this milestone have shown they can perform under pressure. That's what makes it so impressive.
1. Sanju Samson (Chennai Super Kings)
In the IPL 2026 season, Sanju Samson made his mark not just by getting a century but also by becoming the first player in the tournament to do so. Though he started the season poorly with three consecutive failures resulting in fewer than ten runs, the CSK player was really under pressure.
Nevertheless, he proved his doubters wrong in the Chepauk Stadium in a very important match against Delhi Capitals (DC). Samson scored a classy and aggressive 115 not out to help CSK to a massive score, which has earned them their first victory of the season.
It was Samson's fourth century in IPL history and cemented his status as one of the rare players to have achieved centuries for three separate teams in IPL (DC, RR & now CSK).
2. Quinton de Kock (Mumbai Indians)
Quinton de Kock got a chance when Rohit Sharma, the opener for the Mumbai Indians, got hurt in his hamstring. Quinton de Kock was back in the team that played against Punjab Kings at the Wankhede. He showed everyone why people think Quinton de Kock is so great at T20 cricket.
De Kock smashed 112 not out from only 60 balls in a stunning exhibition of power-hitting. Even though MI lost wickets at the beginning, De Kock gave stability to the innings by mixing conventional strokes and creative scoops.
His hundred was more than the numbers; it was a declaration that helped Mumbai keep their playoff dreams going without their main captain.
