Scotland's Surprise Call-Up: Tyler Fletcher
Although Mora's arrival was quite expected, it was Scotland that capped the selection story with the most drama. Tyler Fletcher, a youth midfielder at Manchester United, got a surprise late call-up to the senior squad.
The 19-year-old was, only a week ago, really invited as an under-21 training guest and not as a full member of the senior squad. Still, an injury to a regular midfielder, Billy Gilmour, forced the head coach, Steve Clarke, to change his plans.
After a wonderful debut in an international senior friendly against Curaçao, Fletcher has been fast-tracked over several experienced veterans. This United Academy graduate is now going from youth football to representing his country on the biggest stage.
